F’ing ants.. I tell ya man. Once they go after the cats, they then feel they can conquer anything.
I have lived out this exact scenario, and went on to try to battle them using common dormroom items. Lines of sticky shampoo used as a barricade only hold them off for so long, but vinegar, it turns out, is a marvelous repellent. Only problem is that it’s vinegar, and after a summer of fermenting the whole room smelled like pee. Good thing it was the next resident’s problem, and not mine.
